Zindi Uys

I was born in 1984 in a small village called Evander in Mpumalanga, South Africa. 
During my primary school years we stayed in Nigel - a small town that once produced 
the largest amounts of gold on the East Rand. 

I've started my High School years in the Western Cape. In 2002 I matriculated at Duineveld High School in Upington, Northen Cape.

After school my love for the Western Cape lead me back to Stellenbosch where I studied winemaking (BSc Agric Viticulture and Oenology) and finished my Masters Degree in 2009. 

After my studies I did research in France where me and my Fiancé (Mieder Uys), from 
South Africa, got married in a small village, Chablis in the area of Burgundy. 
Back in SA I became a photographer and also started my greeting card collection based on my art and photography in 2010.

In 2013 we became the proud parents of twin girls. From 2013 to 2018 I did many art exhibitions and trade shows building my "Zindi" brand. My greeting card collections grew to more than 40 collections and are stocked in a wide variety of shops from florist to pharmacies and gift shops country wide and in our neighbor countries.

 

In 2019 I partnered with my mother a fashion designer and great artist herself. ZiKiA our clothing collection was born which also include some decor items like table runners, scatter cushions and jewelry all based on our art. Currently we are experimenting with pop-up shops to find our direct place in the market.
